Decrease in COVID incidence was noted in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President. The average daily rate is 172 cases. The hospital network is loaded by 64%. It is advisable to close some of the infectious hospitals that were additionally deployed at the peak of the incidence while maintaining such dynamics, the President considers. Which healthcare facilities currently involved in anti-coronavirus activities will return to their usual functionality, will be determined by the Ministry of Health. At the same time, Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that all facilities should be ready to immediately resume work as infectious diseases hospitals if necessary.
Members of the Operational Headquarters expect that vaccination will help to further reduce the incidence. 1964 Pridnestrovians have been vaccinated with the available medicines "AstraZeneca" and "Pfizer" (the first dose of the vaccine has been received) to date. The President told the meeting participants the Russian vaccine Sputnik V is expected to arrive in the republic in the coming days. According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, the tranche is 62000 doses. Considering the paired mechanism of drug administration, this volume will be enough to vaccinate 31000 PMR citizens. Two-thirds will go to vaccinate pensioners, one - to vaccinate employees of the Ministry of Health, education, law enforcement agencies and specialists involved in the provision of social services to the population. The President emphasized that we are talking about persons who are in daily contact with a wide range of citizens as part of their official duties. The President considers it correct to formulate the sequence of vaccinations for elderly people based on the year of birth. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the lack of control is unacceptable, as well as any attempts to vaccine using one's connections. The President recalled that the expected party is the first. Negotiations are underway on the further provision of the Russian vaccine to Pridnestrovians. Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed to check the readiness of medical institutions to store the drug and conduct the vaccination campaign. He also reminded that the procedure is exclusively voluntary. In addition, the President drew attention to the necessity of high-quality medical examination of each patient before the administration of the drug, recalling that there is no need to test for COVID before vaccination.
Another issue related to vaccination is quarantine requirements when registering citizens in sanatorium-type institutions. It is possible to admit a patient only if there is an up-to-date certificate of a negative test result for coronavirus at the moment. It is proposed not to require this document from vaccinated citizens (within a year from the date of completion of the full course of vaccination). The President supported the initiative.
