According to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 3101 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 1112 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. The growing incidence has necessitated the expansion of the hospital network. Infectious diseases hospitals have been re-deployed on the basis of the capital's hospital for veterans, the Bendery children's hospital and the psychiatric hospital in the village of Vykhvatintsy (three cases have been identified there). 234 hospital beds are occupied in the hospital of Slobodzeya, 98 in the hospital of Rybnitsa, 70 in the hospital of Dubossary, 242 in the city hospital of Bendery, 77 on the basis of the children's hospital in Bendery, 244 in the coronavirus unit of the Republican Clinical Hospital, and 56 in the hospital based on the Veterans Hospital. 184 people are hard to tolerate coronavirus – 16% of the total number of currently hospitalized citizens. 23 people are patients in intensive care units, six are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. 1989 Pridnestrovians are treated at home. 82 such patients needed hospitalization in the period from the 17th January to the 23rd of January. 75 children are infected with coronavirus (31 cases of minors were infected with coronavirus a week earlier).
9998 samples of biomaterial of citizens suspected of having an infection were examined during the week (411097 during the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 2557 cases. Average daily incidence is 365 (166 a week earlier). In total, 87533 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. 1999 carriers of the virus or 2.3% of the sick died (fifteen deaths of the disease in a week), 82433 people or 96% of those infected coped with the disease (1069 recovered during the reporting week). 2158 Pridnestrovians are in conditions of mandatory self-isolation.
671 Pridnestrovians completed a full course of vaccination during the reporting period. In total, 136828 people or 35.8% of the adult population were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic. Totally 47,081 Pridnestrovians underwent revaccination from the 17th January to the 23rd of January, 6990 people were revaccinated.
172 classrooms in 52 educational institutions and one school in the village of Novo-Komissarovka Dubossary district have been transferred to a remote mode of operation, 46 groups in 32 kindergartens have been quarantined at the moment.
