COVID statistics

According to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 2094 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 1161 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. There are 171 hospital beds in the Slobodzeya hospital, 108 in the Rybnitsa hospital, 127 in the Dubossary hospital, 302 in two hospitals of Bendery, 388 in the hospitals of Tiraspol, and 59 in the Kamenka hospital. A hospital with 50 hospital beds has been re-deployed on the basis of the psychiatric hospital in the village of Vykhvatintsy, 6 persons undergoing treatment are undergoing treatment there. The hospital network is 67% busy. 298 people are hard to tolerate the coronavirus or 26% of the total number of hospitalized at the moment citizens, 30 are patients in intensive care units in the republic in general. 933 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 111 such patients needed hospitalization in the period from 13 to 19 December. The number of children infected with coronavirus dropped to 58 people (70 cases of juvenile coronavirus infection were registered a week earlier).

6188 samples of biomaterial of citizens with suspicion of infection were examined during the week (380014 during the entire period of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 1420 cases. The average daily incidence is 166 (203 a week earlier). The decrease in the indicator has been observed for the eighth week in a row. 81714 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in total in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. 1886 carriers of the virus - 2.3% of cases - died (during the week - 28 deaths of the disease), 77734 people – 95% of those infected – coped with the disease (during the reporting week). 1107 Pridnestrovians are in mandatory self-isolation.

72 classrooms in 33 educational institutions, as well as 23 groups in 19 kindergartens, were quarantined in the republic from December 13 to December 19.

1794 Pridnestrovians underwent a full course of vaccination during the reporting period. 125935 people, or 32.9% of the adult population, were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic totally. 1530 Pridnestrovians were revaccinated.

It is expected during the current week to supply the republic with medical and pharmaceutical products and personal protective equipment, the purchase of which was made based on the first quarter of 2022.
