According to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 4018 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 1829 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. In the Slobodzeya hospital there are 248 hospital beds, 325 in the hospital of Rybnitsa, 195 in the Dubossary hospital, 121in the city hospital and 48on the basis of the Mother and Child Center of Bendery, 427 in the Tiraspol hospital on the basis of the Republican Clinical Hospital, 173 in the disabled people hospital, 202 in the "Tirotex" dispensary, 74 in the Kamenka hospital. There was an outbreak of morbidity in the psychiatric hospital in the village of Vykhvatintsy, Rybnitsa region: 16 patients were infected. They are isolated and undergo treatment without leaving the social institution. The total workload of the Pridnestrovian infectious hospital network is 86%. 347 people or 19% of the total number of citizens currently hospitalized are hard to tolerate the virus, 49 are patients in intensive care units, six are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. 2189 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 121 such patients needed hospitalization from 11 to 17 October. 2860 people are in controlled self-isolation.
9313 samples of biomaterial of citizens with suspected infection were examined during the week (304991 during the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 2695 cases. The average daily incidence is 385 (331 a week earlier). The increase in incidence is recorded for the ninth week in a row. 61861 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic in total. 1430 carriers of the virus - 2.3% of cases - died (forty-one deaths in a week), 56413 people or 91% of those infected, coped with the disease (1891 recovered during the reporting week).
Two secondary schools, 129 classrooms in 51 general educational institutions of secondary education as well as more than fifty groups in 34 kindergartens have been quarantined.
3019 Pridnestrovians underwent a full course of vaccination from 11 to 17 October. In total, 105552 people or 27.6% of the adult population have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic.
