COVID statistics

1489 Pridnestrovians are currently carriers of COVID-19 according to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus. 512 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. 195 hospital beds are occupied in the hospital of Slobodzeya at the moment, 55 in the hospital of Rybnitsa, 53 in the Dubossary hospital, 84 in the city hospital of Bendery, 73 in the coronavirus unit of the Republican Clinical Hospital, 23 in penitentiary institution-1. The workload of the hospital network as a whole is currently 52%. 105 people are severely enduring coronavirus, 19 are patients in intensive care units. 954 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 53 such patients needed hospitalization in the period from March 7 to March 13. The number of children infected with coronavirus is 46 (a week earlier 39 children were sick). Currently, 981 hospital beds have been deployed in the republic for the treatment of coronavirus carriers. Taking into consideration the decline in the incidence (the average daily rate is now 158, a week earlier - 207), the hospital bed quantity will be reduced in Rybnitsa, Dubossary and Bendery.

During the week, 4284 samples of biomaterial of citizens suspected of having an infection were examined (for the entire time of the pandemic - 479896). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 1107 cases. 109685 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic totally. 2148 carriers of the virus or 2% of the sick died (twenty-two deaths of the disease in a week), 106048 people or 96.7% of those infected coped with the disease (1564 recovered during the reporting week). 901 Pridnestrovians are in conditions of mandatory self-isolation.

48 classrooms in 26 general education institutions, as well as 18 groups in 13 preschool institutions are under quarantine.

368 Pridnestrovians completed a full course of vaccination during the reporting period. In total, 142559 people or 37.3% of the adult population were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic. There are 23000 doses of Sinovac, 15000 of Moderna, and 410 of AstraZeneca. Both components of the Russian vaccine are in abundance – for 30 thousand people. There is an agreement to supply 9000 doses of Pfizer. Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on the fact that vaccination preparations have a limited shelf life. The President urged to ensure that the expired vaccine is disposed of in a timely manner. At the same time, the PMR President emphasized that the international situation is such that there may be difficulties with new supplies. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that citizens should understand this and take advantage of the opportunity to be vaccinated in a timely manner.
