Thanks to the capital investment program, large-scale work was carried out at 27 sites for a total of about 12 million in the first year of its implementation in Bendery. Mostly infrastructure of educational institutions was repaired. Sports facilities were included to the program. Among them – there is building of the sports complex for people with special needs and the city stadium (the works on it are partially funded from the capital investment fund). The program continues this year. Much of the work is conducted using the city resources.
Among visited by the President institutions is the rowing school named after Tufanyuk. It consists of two rowing bases - "The Seagull" and "The Youth". Created in the late 70s - early 80s of the last century, both need serious renovation and re-equipment. Taking into account the condition of objects and their social significance, the President identified them as one of the top participants in the republican capital investment program, recommending inclusion to the corresponding list in 2019. Work on the reconstruction of "The Seagull" was started. It is planned to repair the three-storey building of the rescue station and create a modern complex on this site, which will include sports and training, administrative and hotel rooms, as well as a rowing museum. The project is planned to be implemented by September of this year. The President drew attention to other buildings in disrepair. It must be demolished in the coming days. It is important to consider the location of the rescue point. Taking into consideration the specificity of the rowing sport and the fact that vacationers are gathering on the banks of the Dniester, the presence of professional lifeguards nearby is a must, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized.
For reference: the school of rowing of Bendery trains three kinds of sports - rowing, rowing and canoeing, and boating. Over the years of its existence, 6 international-class masters of sports, two honorary masters of sports of the USSR, and almost three hundred masters of sports of the USSR and PMR were brought up here. “The President for a healthy lifestyle” annual regatta is held on the basis of the school on the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky (a trainee of the school).
3.6 million were allocated under the capital investment program 2019 from the state treasury for the Dolphin basin. Nearly two and a half million more are from the local budget (a targeted program for the overhaul of the housing stock, social and cultural facilities, and land improvement). Other sources are looked for. Totally 8.5 million are needed for the project. It is about restoring the old 25-meter bowl for 6 lanes (not functioning since 2003) and building a new children's pool smaller, only 90 centimeters deep. It is supposed to roof the object. The works are planned to be completed this year, noted the Head of Bendery Roman Ivanchenko. The President noted that with opening, the area where the city stadium and the pool will adjoin will become sporty. He emphasized that it was not worthwhile to stretch the construction time of the object: the missing funds would be found in the current period. The fact that the pool will be in demand, the management has no doubts.
The presidential delegation visited the stadium Dynamo that is located side by side with the future pool. After years of inactivity, it is opened and is actively functioning. In parallel, work is underway on further improvement. Roman Ivanchenko told about plans to create an additional field and that local athletes dream of building an arena.
The President visited "Borisovsky" square. It appeared in Bendery last year. The funds (more than 800 thousand) were allocated equally proportions by the city and the state. Further landscaping and construction of a mini-football field are the plans.
Repair work is underway at the Borisovsky cemetery. Here the gravestones, the monument, the paths will be put in order. It is necessary to determine the color design at the moment. The President, noting the special significance of this place, recognized the claims of the citizens as fair and justified. In 2010, in the repair of the complex, unsuitable materials were used: it is impossible to cover the grave with tiles. Firstly, it is not aesthetic. Secondly, the weather conditions adversely affect both in winter and in summer. According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, it was decided to replace the coating with granite. The paths will be leveled, raised and covered with paving tiles, if necessary.
The plans for this year include improvement of a beach of Bendery and recreation areas on the banks of the Dniester River. The project cost is 1.5 million rubles. Quay stairs, including from the Alexander Nevsky Park and water gate are designed, the Head of Bendery told the President. According to him, the new object is considered in such a way that it can be used, if not year-round, then at least from early spring to late autumn. It is planned to create so-called barbecue zone, the construction of gaming and sports grounds (football, volleyball, tennis), arrangement of a rescue station, the placement of a first-aid post, changing rooms and restrooms on the beach. There is parking. A dock for small boats will appear. At the moment, work is underway to clear the territory of the future beach. Roman Ivanchenko informed that preliminary it was examined by sappers. The beach will be open on June 1 of this year for those who likes relaxation near the water,. Infrastructure improvement is the second phase of the project.
Vadim Krasnoselsky, having carefully studied the project, discussed with Roman Ivanchenko and Ivan Untu - the head of the Department of Construction, Architecture and Road Management - some aspects of its implementation and gave a number of recommendations and current instructions.
This year, attention will be paid to the Palace of Culture named after Tkachenko. The house of culture - since 1962. There are numerous events of urban and republican values, as well as systematic classes of creative teams. The local authorities have so far managed to allocate two million rubles to bring it into proper condition. As it turned out during the study of archival project documentation, the house of culture of Bendery scene is unique. Its feature is the presence of a turning mechanism. It did not function approximately three decades, but experts came to the conclusion that the system should be restored. A master that will return the original appearance of the floor covering was found. They try to save chandeliers. New chairs for the auditorium were purchased. The city expects to acquire sound and light equipment in the future. The cost of each set is from 60 thousand conventional monetary units. This is a task for the future. The priority is to set the hall in order and revive the scene. The task must be achieved before the day of the city. Vadim Krasnoselsky, calling the house of culture the center of cultural life of the city, expressed gratitude to the Bendery leadership for looking for an opportunity to update the infrastructure without shifting the entire financial burden to the republican budget.
Another point of the route of the delegation headed by the President is the Solnechny microdistrict. They establish masts for trolleybus line between the streets of Matsneva and Leningradskaya. The length of the branch - 2 kilometers. 144 masts were established. Opening is scheduled for June 19 of the current year. The date was not chosen by chance: it was on June 19, 1993 that the first trolleybus was launched between Tiraspol and Bendery. The President noted that residents of Bendery are waiting for expansion of the trolleybus network in this direction: the project was initiated according to numerous appeals from citizens. The President emphasized the importance of the city’s public relations with the public, noting that only working in this vein can bring positive results.
