The Commander-in-Chief of the PMR Armed Forces congratulated the future defenders of the Motherland on the beginning of the academic year and the fifth anniversary of the Tiraspol Suvorov Military College

The first solemn meeting dedicated to the opening of the Tiraspol Suvorov Military College and the beginning of the first academic year for the Tiraspol Suvorov Military College took place in 2017. Then 208 schoolchildren joined the Suvorov movement. There are 294 people in the ranks today of Suvorovites and recruits. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky, the initiator of the creation of the Suvorov Military College in the Pridnestrovian capital, arrived to congratulate them.

Addressing the pupils and their parents, officers and teachers, the Head of State noted that in five years the school had taken a serious step in the development of the educational institution, taking a worthy place in the educational sector of the republic and in the system of training future defenders of the Fatherland. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the Tiraspol Suvorov Military College is not inferior to similar educational institutions in the Russian Federation.

“Dear Suvorovites, good service to you in the new academic year. Get knowledge, strive to become a real man and person,” the President admonished the pupils of the Tiraspol Suvorov Military College. The PMR President thanked the parents of the Suvorov students for their trust and support. Speaking about the command and teaching staff of the school, he emphasized that these people, educating Suvorov students and passing on knowledge to them, are the basis, the soul of the educational institution.

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky presented state awards, Defense Minister Oleg Obruchkov presented badges on the occasion of the anniversary of the educational institution. The staff of the school was also congratulated by the Chairman of the Republican Board of Trustees, the First President of the PMR Igor Smirnov, the PMR Minister of Education Svetlana Ivanishina, and the Head of the Operational Group of Russian Forces in Pridnestrovie Dmitry Zelenkov. 74 pupils of grades 5-11 (1-7 courses of the Tiraspol Suvorov Military College) – were sworn in. The school-wide tradition of celebrating the Day of Knowledge has also been observed – the first bell of the 2022-2023 academic year rang on the parade ground of the Tiraspol Suvorov Military College.
