Despite the fact that the anniversary year has just begun, preparations for the 75th anniversary of the Soviet people Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 30th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian statehood are actively conducted. The planning began last year. Several working meetings took place, including under the President. Today, Vadim Krasnoselsky held a regular meeting, inviting the management and representatives of the Presidential Administration, the PMR Government, the PMR Supreme Council, ministries, departments and public services involved in the organization of anniversary events to discuss plans. Opening the working discussion, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the importance of both dates and the necessity for quality preparation for the celebrations. The President called for close cooperation, noting that in the combined schedule to date there are over seven hundred items related to the celebration of Victory Day, and 520 items related to Republic Day.
Speaking about May 9, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that it is extremely important to pay increased attention to veterans. Valuable gifts will be presented to each of them from the state. Interaction with veteran organizations should also be active: they must be supported and maximally involved in organizational and preparatory work, the President noted.
In the course of the meeting they focused on the main points of the action plan. The traditional reconstruction of the battle will be held in the year of the 75th anniversary of the Victory. The place of historical stage remains the same - the central beach of the capital. As planned by the authors, the Soviet troops will force the Dnieper, whose role in the production will be played by the Dniester. The use in the reconstruction of heavy military equipment of the model of the Great Patriotic War will be peculiarity of the anniversary year. Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed to notify the population in advance about the sound accompaniment of the event. The same equipment - combat vehicles and guns - will be used in a military parade. In 2020, for the first time, members of the Youth Army will take part in it. Discussing the upcoming parade, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that it was necessary to create conditions so that as many Pridnestrovians and guests of the republic as possible could become viewers. To do this, it is necessary to change location pattern for viewers, giving them the opportunity to be in close proximity to the place of movement of ceremonial calculations and equipment.
The innovation of a part of the celebrations that are traditionally held at the OGRV venue will be the performance of brass bands. The program, which will unite many groups of the republic, will precede the main concert.
Particular attention on the eve of the holidays is given to printed materials. With a circulation of 1000 copies, sets of five posters were issued, each of which reflects the offensive and defensive operations of 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944 and 1945. The idea of their mass release belongs to Vadim Krasnoselsky. Brightly illustrated and rich in information, such a set will be an affordable guide to the history of the Great Patriotic War, the President considers. On his behalf, the sets will be delivered to all educational institutions, as well as ministries, departments, government agencies, military units. In addition, similarly executed information will be posted on stands in the central part of the cities of the republic. Thematic books are being prepared for printing. The publications will reflect not only information on the events of 1941-1945 and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, but also materials collected during the essay competition and the most interesting articles published in the media under the headings devoted to Victory Day. At the suggestion of the President, the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank will issue a series of coins “Hero-Cities of the Soviet Union”. New stamps will be published for May 9th.
They talked in the course of the meeting about caring for burial places of veterans of World War II. An educational institution is assigned for each. The state of the monuments is entrusted with monitoring of individual business entities. This is a right and an honor, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized.
As for preparations for the celebration of Republic Day: celebrations will be held in all cities and regions of Pridnestrovie, but Tiraspol will become the center of festive events of a national scale. On the eve of the republican anniversary, the Catherine Park will be officially opened. On September 1, Tiraspol schoolchildren will be able to immediately participate in the opening of an amusement park, which will be located behind the Palace of children and youth creativity, immediately after visiting the celebratory assembly devoted to the beginning of the school year. The solemn meeting dedicated to the Republic Day will be held the same day. The central event of September 2 will be a military parade. Printed publications are being prepared, which will reflect the history of Pridnestrovie as a region located along the Dniester and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
