Dear Pridnestrovians, dear friends.
Our republic has traditionally hosted the "Person of the Year" contest for more than a decade. This competition is attended by our citizens who achieve a certain result for the benefit of our republic in their profession, in their way of life. This applies to those who teach, who heal, who are engaged in entrepreneurial activities, who protect security and ensure law and order, who are engaged in peacekeeping activities, who help those in need simply by virtue of their civic position.
The best in various categories were selected as part of the competition, but I am convinced that we are all winners, because everyone has a result. Our republic in the most difficult conditions of the coronavirus is fighting this evil and saving people. There is security, law and order, the rule of law on our territory. We are able to protect the right, to protect the life of any citizen. Our entrepreneurs in difficult conditions are engaged in business, their own business, bring income to both their families and the state. In Pridnestrovie, We provide high-level pre-school education, school education in secondary specialized and higher educational institutions. We are raising good, worthy young people who can be truly proud of. We are engaged in culture and sports, we are building parks, infrastructure – we are developing Pridnestrovie in a word. All nominations are somehow connected with the development of our republic, with ensuring the self-sufficiency of our state. It is important.
The competition provides an opportunity to show not only the best in profession or type of activity, but to emphasize that we see, know and respect the work of every Pridnestrovian. We give an incentive to others to prove themselves and receive a well-deserved award in one of the "Person of the Year" nominations.
I am sometimes amazed: the population of the republic is small, no more than 500 thousand people, but how many excellent specialists, entrepreneurs, athletes, scientists, literate people, patriots of their homeland. We can be successful in any area of life. Why is that? Probably, this is a property of the Pridnestrovian land, the quality of the Pridnestrovian people is the ability to withstand the most difficult conditions.
I would like to congratulate all the laureates, wish you success, thank you for your work, for your activities. I want to thank everyone who participated in this competition. I am convinced that many deserve the “Best in the Profession” nomination.
