Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrey Rudenko

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky within the framework of his visit to the Russian Federation met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko. The working dialogue took place at the Russian Foreign Ministry. Ambassador-at-large Vitaly Tryapitsyn from the Russian side took part in the discussion, and the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev from the Pridnestrovian side. The interlocutors focused on a wide range of issues related to development of the Pridnestrovian-Russian cooperation, as well as the current state of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. Particular emphasis was placed on the restrictions on the entry and movement of Pridnestrovian vehicles through the territory of Ukraine, introduced from September 1 at the request of the Republic of Moldova. The PMR President emphasized that this problem is extremely acute and humanitarian in nature, violating the rights of tens of thousands of residents of Pridnestrovie. Mutual position was expressed in this context on the inadmissibility of using any elements of blockades and threats in the relations between the parties to the negotiation process.

Other topical aspects of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement were also touched upon during the meeting, including those related to the implementation of the package of agreements "Berlin +". The interlocutors agreed on the necessity of unconditional fulfillment of all obligations assumed within the framework of the agreements reached, as well as the solution of all problematic issues exclusively at the negotiating table. In addition, the parties spoke for the stable work of the "5 + 2" format in accordance with the principles and procedures of the negotiation process.

Continuing the discussion, Vadim Krasnoselsky and Andrei Rudenko discussed promising areas of interaction between Pridnestrovie and the Russian Federation with an emphasis on ensuring the rights and interests of Russian citizens and Russian compatriots in the PMR. They  paid attention to the functioning of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester.

The Deputy Foreign Minister thanked the PMR President for the high level of organization and conduct of voting in the elections to the State Duma on the territory of Pridnestrovie.

The parties agreed at the end of the meeting to continue the established friendly contacts on the entire spectrum of issues of mutual interest.
