Vadim Krasnoselsky met at the presidential executive office with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia to Pridnestrovie Alexander Vataman, and the Head of the Official Representation of the Republic of South Ossetia to Pridnestrovie Vitaly Yankovsky. The PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatyev participated in the meeting.
The interlocutors noted after exchanging greetings the enduring strength of the friendly ties that bind the republics. They discussed the historical aspects of the creation of the young states, which endured difficult trials during the period of gaining sovereignty, emphasizing the value of the meeting taking place precisely on the anniversary of the recognition of the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that this fateful decision was made in 2008 after tragic events. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers it is important that Georgia acknowledged its aggression against the peoples of Apsny and the State of Alania after a period of time. This cannot be said of the Republic of Moldova, which has not provided a legal assessment of its treacherous invasion of peaceful Pridnestrovie for 36 years.
Vadim Krasnoselsky congratulated the heads of the Abkhaz and South Ossetian missions and through them the peoples of the fraternal republics, wishing them peace, development, and prosperity.
Vitaly Ignatiev noted in turn that despite the existing difficulties, cooperation with the fraternal republics has been intensified. A meeting of the foreign ministers of Pridnestrovie, South Ossetia, and Abkhazia was held in June of this year. Trilateral cooperation through youth diplomacy has been established.
Speaking about Pridnestrovian-Abkhaz contacts, Alexander Vataman focused on tourism, emphasizing that having a Pridnestrovian passport allows citizens to cross the border visa-free. Vitaly Yankovsky mentioned among other things the relocation of the South Ossetian representative office to new premises, emphasizing his hope that many significant events, including those attended by the PMR President, will take place there.
Working aspects of cooperation in various areas, the international situation, the importance of dialogue, and the desire for a peaceful resolution of any conflict were discussed in the course of the meeting. They also focused on economic contacts and cultural and educational exchanges. Plans for further cooperation were outlined.
