Vadim Krasnoselsky was awarded the Order of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Blessed Prince Daniel of Moscow, 2nd Grade

Vadim Krasnoselsky visited the Administration of the Tiraspol-Dubossary Diocese. Meeting of state leaders and clergy, led by Archbishop Sawa, took place there. The working meeting was preceded by a solemn ceremony, which, according to the Archbishop, was postponed due to objective circumstances. He recounted his meeting with the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, during which they discussed issues related to Pridnestrovie and the local diocese. At the same time, instructions were given by the leader of prayers of the Russian Orthodox Church to present the Order of the Blessed Prince Daniel of Moscow, 2nd Grade, to the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky. The corresponding decree of His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia stated that Vadim Krasnoselsky was awarded the award for his contribution to the development of church-state relations.

Gratefully accepting the award, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that, "as a Christian, I am sincerely pleased by such high recognition of my modest work".

Speaking about Orthodoxy, its role and place in Pridnestrovian history, Vadim Krasnoselsky said: "It is difficult to imagine the history of Pridnestrovie without faith as such. Our republic has traditional faiths. We respect them all. By and large, we do not differentiate between believers. There is a special history. The history of the Russian Orthodox Church. The history of Orthodoxy in our land. The majority of people here have always been drawn to Orthodoxy". The President recalled that at the time of the creation of the modern Pridnestrovian state, there were four Orthodox churches in the republic, and now there are approximately 140. This number is growing, as new churches are constantly being built. This is the will of the people, the desire of the parishioners. "I look at people's behavior toward the Orthodox faith and can draw a clear conclusion: our people are worthy of the Russian Orthodox Church, and the Russian Orthodox Church should be proud of the Pridnestrovian people. There is no desecration, no persecution, no division of believers. On the contrary, there is understanding, there is harmony, there is love," Vadim Krasnoselsky noted, expressing his conviction that the future of Pridnestrovie is inseparable from the Russian Orthodox Church. The President of the PMR emphasized at the same time that independence of Pridnestrovie guarantees the preservation of the purity of the Russian Orthodox Church in this land.

The PMR President thanked the leadership and clergy of the Tiraspol-Dubossary Diocese for their service aimed at strengthening Orthodoxy and uniting society.
