The republican public organization "War invalids - defenders of Pridnestrovie" was established in 2005. To date, its structure includes six subdivisions, consisting of 172 members. Pavel Kuznetsov heads the main division. He and his colleagues were invited by the President for a working discussion. The conversation was organized in the format of video conference. Representatives of the leadership of the PMR Government and the Supreme Council, as well as ministers of the social orientation, were invited to participate in the conversation. The issues of concern to disabled defenders, both general and private were discussed.
Among the topics raised were prosthetics in Abkhazian clinics, the mechanism for providing dental prosthetics services, compensation for housing repair costs, as well as apartments purchase. To date, all disabled defenders of the PMR, with the exception of one, have been provided with their own housing at the state expense. The reasons are objective. There are no obstacles to providing this citizen with housing at the moment. It will be included on a priority basis in the list of priority recipients of apartments from among the defenders of Pridnestrovie next year. Funds for the purchase of more than two dozen residential premises are included in the draft budget for 2022. Another issue is compensation for the costs of car repairs for disabled defenders. This norm is in the current legislation and is being implemented. The mechanism that allows defenders to enter a car into the republic without so-called customs clearance has also been thought out. This was the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky. The norm is enshrined in the law and is actively applied. The President spoke about long-term plans to provide this category of PMR citizens with their own vehicles. They are supposed to be purchased at the state expense. The project can be started after the end of the pandemic, the fight against which requires serious budgetary expenditures, the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic noted.
Other issues related to the work of a public organization, support for disabled defenders, and their participation in public activities were also discussed.
