Opening the working meeting, the PMR President recalled that on September 2, the parade will unite two eventful causes: the 30th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. A corresponding decree was signed. Accordingly, the symbolism and program of the event should reflect both dates, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized. The military parade is scheduled to begin at 9 am on the central square of the capital. It will be preceded by the traditional flower-laying ceremony at the Glory Memorial and the raising of the flags of Pridnestrovie and Russia. The Victory Banner and the standards of 13 fronts will be carried across the square. A historic mechanized column is being formed. More than a hundred pieces of equipment will be involved in the parade. More than a thousand servicemen and pupils of educational institutions subordinated to law enforcement agencies will march near the stands in traditional parade crews. The stands will be located in a new way: on both sides of the central road, which will create comfortable conditions for a larger number of spectators. Another innovation is the participation of the horse parade crews. Two dozen horses are preparing for the event.
Rehearsals have been running since mid-July. The question of uniforms for the participants in the military parade is solved.
Another upcoming event timed to coincide with the anniversary of the republic’s formation - the opening of the Catherine Park in the center of the Pridnestrovian capital was discussed in the course of the meeting. The celebration is scheduled for the 1st of September. This day, not only the symbolic ribbon on the gate to the park will be cut, but also the monument to Catherine the Great will be solemnly opened. The ceremony of awarding the most distinguished residents of the republic will take place on the open stage for the first time. The outdoor event fully complies with modern quarantine circumstances.
