Vadim Krasnoselsky held a press conference

The PMR President held his traditional press conference on the eve of Republic Day. The meeting took place at the Presidential Administration of the PMR. Vadim Krasnoselsky's interlocutors included heads and journalists of Pridnestrovian media outlets, representatives of RIA News, TASS, the Sputnik news agency, and heads of press services of state authorities and administrative bodies of Pridnestrovie. The meeting lasted for over two hours, with over three dozen questions. Each one received a detailed answer. Topics raised included the state and prospects of the negotiation process, economic pressure from Moldova and its latest illegal extortions from Pridnestrovian businesses, energy supplies to Pridnestrovie, the state of affairs in the industrial and agricultural sectors, demands from the Moldovan association for the release of criminals held in penitentiary system of Pridnestrovie, rumors spreading about an alleged corporate raid on one of the republic's trading companies, the acquisition of Russian citizenship by Pridnestrovie, and Russia's assistance in providing the republic's educational system with modern textbooks, the Pridnestrovian people were discussed. History, law enforcement, the implementation of the capital investment program, the issue of shallowing reservoirs, and the upcoming elections, Duma in Russia and presidential in Pridnestrovie were also touched upon. A press conference by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, timed to coincide with the 36th anniversary of the founding of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, will be aired on the First Pridnestrovian TV Channel, TSV, and Radio-1 today, August 28, at 8:30 PM.
