He recalled the tragic events that preceded the entry of Russian peacekeepers into the territory of Pridnestrovie, spoke about the effectiveness of the model that has been operating for 30 years, recalled the decisions taken by the Republic of Moldova that contradict the agreements reached earlier, the signed agreement and common sense. The PMR President did not disregard the fact that the Russian peacekeeper has been on the Pridnestrovian land not for three decades, but for more than two centuries – since 1792. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of Russia for ensuring peace in the republic, emphasizing that the Pridnestrovians are confident in the need to maintain the existing format of peacekeeping in Pridnestrovie.
The interlocutors agreed to formalize the conclusions into a final resolution after an almost two-hour exchange of views on the topics of the round table. A proposal was made to publish a collection of presentations by the participants in the discussion.
Taking the opportunity, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky drew the attention of the participants of the event to the problem of the inefficient functioning of the consular service point, which is relevant for hundreds of thousands of Pridnestrovian Russians and compatriots.
