Vadim Krasnoselsky awarded the mentors whose students won “The Leather Ball” tournament and “The Young Patriot of Pridnestrovie” game

“The Young Patriot of Pridnestrovie” is a traditional military-patriotic game, which is held as part of the rally of the same name. “The Leather Ball”  is a national mini-football tournament among schoolchildren, resumed on the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky. Both events are annual, large-scale and competitive in nature. This year's winners have already been identified and awarded. The coaches of the teams who achieved the best results were honored today. The award ceremony took place at the presidential executive office. Vadim Krasnoselsky personally presented medals of the Order “For Merit in the Development of Sports”, II degree, to physical education teachers of Dubossary school No. 2 and gymnasium No. 1, schools of Krasnoye village and Kitskany village, as well as the directors of Bendery school No. 18, Dubossary school No. 2 and Rybnitsa school No. 9 – badges "For services to society" III degree. The meeting continued in the format of an informal conversation and tea drinking upon completion of the official part. Adviser to the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Pavel Prokudin, who oversees the sports department, was also invited to the conversation.

Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked his interlocutors for their work and concern, emphasizing that he highly values teaching and mentoring.

The meeting participants, discussing the completed Leather Ball 2024 tournament, noted that interest in the competition is growing, and the involvement of schoolchildren in sports life with it. Words of gratitude were expressed for the provision of educational institutions with sports equipment and the construction of modern sports grounds. They talked about villages and specific schools that are still waiting for the renovation or creation of sports infrastructure, as well as the need to add the position of a women's football team coach to the staffing table of a number of educational institutions. Girls' football is gaining momentum with the inclusion of “The Leather Ball” tournament.

As for “The Young Patriot of Pridnestrovie” rally, it was noticeably different from previous ones this year. The event took place not one day as before, but three days. There is a modern infrastructure of the Dniester Dawns health complex instead of tents. The organizers filled the program with excursion, entertainment, and educational events. Teachers and school leaders noted the highest level of organization and extremely positive impressions of the participants.

They talked in the course of the meeting about additional education, noting that up to 80% of schoolchildren are involved in it. Those who refuse extracurricular activities are most numerous among students in grades 7-8. Some people call it adolescence. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that the concept is far-fetched: it is important to look for an approach to children, involving them in new areas of development. Changes in the rural education system were discussed. This direction needs to be strengthened, and the planned reorganization processes are designed to improve the quality of educational services and improve the conditions in which children receive knowledge and teachers work, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized. He recalled that primary schools are maintained everywhere.

They discussed at the meeting the growth of salaries of public sector employees, retention and training of personnel, labor market demands, infrastructural transformation of the republic’s settlements, holding sports and cultural events, and shared their plans. They mentioned the “The President's Family for Healthy Lifestyle” upcoming regatta, in which 58 non-professional teams are preparing to participate. This is also an example of involving the population in physical education and sports.
