The PMR Central Election Commission Chairman Stanislav Kasap briefed the President on the results of the elections for deputies to the ninth convocation of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, held within the territory of Pridnestrovie. Seventeen polling stations were opened for Russian citizens residing in Pridnestrovie. 51092 Pridnestrovian residents cast their votes on election day, September 20. Preliminary data indicates this represents 24% of all voters who cast ballots outside Russia. 77.76% of the Russian citizens in Pridnestrovie (39733 people) voted for United Russia; 6.32% (3231) for the CPRF; 4.4% (2252) for the LDPR; 3.25% (1662) for New People; 2.41% (1233) for the Party of Pensioners; and 2.23% (1142) for Just Russia. The Greens, the Party of Direct Democracy, and Communists of Russia each received support from less than one percent of Pridnestrovian voters.
Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the high level of civic engagement among Pridnestrovian residents and thanked everyone who participated in the vote, as well as those involved in organizing and conducting the State Duma elections in the region. The PMR President specifically commended the law enforcement officers who ensured safety and order during the voting process.
