Ceremonial event dedicated to the 227th anniversary of the founding of Tiraspol was held in the City Palace of Culture. The PMR President of the took part in the event.
They talked about the glorious history of the city and present day, remembered the founders and honored contemporaries from the stage of the City Palace of Culture. The transformations of the past year and plans for the future were mentioned. Addressing the meeting participants and in their person all Tiraspol residents and guests of the city, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that the city on the Dniester appeared during the expansion of the borders of the Russian Empire. Appearing as the Middle Fortress, designed to protect the borders of a great country, Tiraspol has gone from a small county town to the capital of an independent state. The PMR President said that when building the city of the future, we must not forget about the past: it is the foundation of prosperity and development. “We are building a socially oriented state with a market form of the economy, that is, working for the benefit of the people,” said Vadim Krasnoselsky, noting that implementation of projects, initiatives, and undertakings is possible only thanks to the efforts of city residents. It is to them today that the words of gratitude and congratulations are addressed.
Vadim Krasnoselsky did not ignore the fact that, together with the City Foundation Day, Tiraspol residents celebrate the temple festival – Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. It should be coincidence: today is the birthday of the Head of the capital administration Oleg Dovgopol. Congratulating the birthday person, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted his initiative and professionalism, thanks to which Tiraspol becomes more comfortable and modern, while maintaining a respectful attitude to the history of the city.
The President handed orders and medals to the residents of the capital, who made the greatest contribution to the development and improvement of the city. The gala concert continued the gala evening.
