Preserving history is the topic of a working discussion under the President

The President emphasized in the course of the video conference with heads of state authorities and administrative bodies the necessity of including in the calendars of commemorative dates of the republic's cities and districts not only the days of liberation from the German-Romanian occupation, but also the dates of its beginning. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that the Nazis occupied Bendery between July 18 and 23, 1941; Kamenka on July 25; Dubossary on July 30; Grigoriopol on August 4-6; Rybnitsa on August 5-6; Slobodzeya on August 7-8; and Tiraspol on August 7-10, 1941. It is important according to the President to hold commemorative events on these days, similar to the annual commemoration of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War on June 22, 1941. Flower-laying ceremonies, moments of silence, roundtable discussions, and educational and patriotic events must be mandatory. The heads of state administrations have been instructed to do so.

Local leadership has also been instructed to facilitate the creation of public service announcements about the republic's populated areas. A month has been allocated for their implementation. Furthermore, the state-run television channel is working on video sketches that will highlight the ethnic diversity of the Pridnestrovian people.
