It was noted in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President that there is decrease in the rate of spread of COVID-19 in Pridnestrovie. 79 carriers of the virus were detected per day in average during the past week (118 a week earlier). 1655 people are ill at the moment. 700 people undergo home treatment. Pridnestrovians continue to trust more in inpatient care. The hospital network is loaded by 38%, taking into account the closure of several branches. Today, 16 patients will be transferred from a COVID hospital to the capital's hospital for veterans in the republican clinical hospital to complete the course of treatment. The institution will return to its specialization after disinfection measures. The hospital in Grigoriopol will also resume work in standard mode after discharge of citizens who have recovered from the coronavirus (there are 32 of them). The hospital in Kamenka has already been closed. Six infectious diseases hospitals will function in the near future. If the epidemiological situation continues to improve, the hospital at the Mother and Child Center in Bendery is the next to be closed. The President emphasized at the same time that the approach to reducing the bed capacity should be such that the workload on the staff of the remaining coronavirus hospitals is not overestimated. The quality of medical care should not be affected, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
Discussing the dynamics of the spread of coronavirus and other related indicators, the meeting participants noted the changes waveform. For example, an average of 1127 biomaterial samples in December last year were taken per day, 545 in January this year, 510 in February, 1081 in March, and 944 in April. The disease detection rate: 35% in December 2020, 25% in January 2021, 18% in February, 28% in March, 22% in April. At the same time the mortality rate among infected citizens increased against the background of decrease in the incidence of coronavirus: if at the end of last year it was 1.7%, then the latest data is 3.1%.
Vaccination was discussed by members of the Operational Headquarter. 3020 PMR citizens were vaccinated with the first component of AstraZeneca and Pfizer. 900 people completed the coronavirus vaccination course. The Sputnik V vaccination campaign has begun. 24 vaccination rooms will be involved at the initial stage. Their number will gradually increase (the total resource in the republic is 117). Registration is in the registries of the polyclinics. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the importance of communication between the services involved in the process of mass vaccination. The logistics of drug delivery is important, since it has specific requirements for storage conditions and time. Thematic seminars were held for the personnel involved in this work. Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on the need to control the process of accepting applications for vaccination, as well as the organization of safe waiting for the procedure directly at the healthcare facility: it is unacceptable for a large number of people to gather in reception rooms and corridors of medical institutions.
The educational process organization was discussed in the course of the meeting. Participants of the meeting agreed that pupils of the first and second grades of secondary schools will complete the school year in classrooms. Classes will include 4 lessons in core disciplines maximum with only one teacher. The rest of the subjects are remotely. If a carrier of the infection is identified in the team, the class will be in quarantined form of training – remote. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that concealment of the facts of the disease is unacceptable.
Another important topic of the headquarters discussion is the regime of crossing the Pridnestrovian border. It is permitted until the end of the May holidays to enter Pridnestrovie and leave the republic according to the rules that were in force before the pandemic. The President proposed to extend these norms until the end of spring.
