Life is given in the city maternity hospital while Bendery memorials remember those who tragically and untimely passed away 31 years ago.
The 19th of June is a special date for the Bendery maternity hospital. It was in the line of fire in 1992. When the Moldovan Special Weapons and Tactics came to the city, there were about eight dozen patients in the maternity hospital, 32 of them were women in labor. Not only women from Bendery, but also residents of nearby Moldovan villages were in anticipation of the birth of babies in the medical facility. The employees of the maternity hospital saved everyone, regardless of the place of residence of the women in labor. Four boys were born that difficult for the city day.
The PMR President’s wife visits the Bendery maternity hospital every year on 19th of June. Svetlana Krasnoselskaya congratulated the young mothers today, whose babies were born today and on the eve of significant date for the people of Bendery. Flowers and gift certificates were presented to the mothers of Leonid, Igor and Dmitry, whose birthday fell on June 18. Now they are in the postpartum ward. Doctors said that families of newborns are not from Bendery only. One of the women came to Pridnestrovie from Ukraine to visit relatives. Her third baby was born in Bendery.
Doctors say that another child, also a boy, is about ready to make the world happy with his birth. His parents, as well as the families of those who choose the date of birth on June 20, 2023, will also receive signs of attention from the PMR President’s wife.
Svetlana Krasnoselskaya expressed her gratitude to the staff of the maternity hospital on behalf of the thousands of women whom the doctors of the Bendery maternity hospital have been helping for several decades at the most important moment in their lives – at the birth of a child. Three children of the Krasnoselskys were born in this maternity hospital. Svetlana Krasnoselskaya wished mothers and babies that troubles bypassed them.
