The work schedule of the PMR President includes a number of meetings on the ground and inspection visits. The President visited the reconstructed museum of the Bendery tragedy, which is scheduled to open on the 19th of June. Current instructions and recommendations were given. Vadim Krasnoselsky inspected the progress of work on creating an integrated infrastructure for the future Pridnestrovian State Museum today. The name "Museum Quarter" stuck to the object. It will be located in the center of Tiraspol from Catherine's Park to the stairway to the Dniester embankment and the beach and leisure area. The idea of creating a modern museum complex belongs to President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. He is in charge of the development and implementation of the project. Three years were allotted for the implementation of the plan initially. It depends on many factors, whether it will be possible to meet the deadlines. Preparatory work is underway now. Emergency facilities were demolished, as well as objects that were not related to historical architectural development or parts of them (accessory buildings).
Head of the capital administration Oleg Dovgopol, Head of the Department of Construction, Architecture and Road Facilities Nikolay Obruchkov, director of the Tiraspol United Museum Alla Melnichuk and representatives of construction and contracting organizations took part in the working meeting organized at the facility. They discussed design developments, examined various locations in their current state. Doubts regarding some of them in the course of the survey arose. The President was told that one of the buildings, which was assigned an important role in the overall concept, turned out to be more dilapidated than expected. Experts are studying the feasibility of restoring the hull. Vadim Krasnoselsky is a supporter of preserving the historical atmosphere that old buildings keep. The issue of safety is a top priority.
They focused on the design theme of the bunker and the features of creating an exposition corresponding to the topic. The concept of the museum as a whole is to preserve the true history of the Pridnestrovian region and at the same time make it accessible and interesting for visitors. The choice of tools, forms and methods of designing expositions is important, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized, aiming at creating an object that is historical in its essence, but modern in execution.
