The PMR President noted that the work of specialists involved in the healthcare sector requires constant updating and expansion of knowledge, practice and exchange of experience. The main base for conducting advanced training courses, training seminars, and other educational events for doctors is the Faculty of Medicine of the Pridnestrovian State University in Pridnestrovie. A simulation center is being built on the basis of the Republican Clinical Hospital in addition. Education outside the republic at public expense is advisable if there are no specialists or necessary equipment in Pridnestrovie in this sphere. An important aspect: advanced training is not only a right, but duty. Certification will be carried out in order to understand the situation in general in the healthcare sector and identify employees whose professional level needs to be improved.
The PMR Health Minister Christina Albul said that, in addition to organizing the process of retraining and advanced training of medical staff on the basis of the state university and medical institutions of the republic, they were given the opportunity to undergo internships in Russia.
