According to information provided to the President the renewed Supreme Council has held 17 plenary sessions since the beginning of the year: 12 regular and 5 extraordinary. 162 legislations have been accepted during this period of time for consideration, including 11 presidential legislations. It was noted that parliamentarians are the most active participants in legislative initiative. Deputies have proposed 89 draft laws, the government has submitted over 50 legislative proposals, the Prosecutor's Office of the PMR has submitted eight, and the Supreme Court and Grigoriopol City and District Council have each submitted one law-in-draft. Following legislative work over the past five months, the PMR President has signed and officially published 119 laws. Among them is the Criminal Procedure Code (implemented on March 24 and will enter into force on September 1 of this year). The report states that these innovations are intended to improve the quality of law enforcement work, reduce case processing times, enhance the protection of the rights of all parties involved, and bring Pridnestrovian legislation closer to the best international standards. Parliamentarians consider the adoption of the basic law "On the Judicial Department under the Supreme Court of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" to be significant and timely. Amendments to the Labor Code of the PMR were highlighted (this includes granting employees an additional day off with retention of average wages if they donate blood and its components on an additional day off granted for a previous donation). A new provision was enshrined in the Marriage and Family Code, granting the right to accept up to 25 children into a family-type orphanage. Provisions were added to the Code of Administrative Offenses, providing for administrative liability for acts of bullying and cyberbullying. Another socially significant legislative innovation is the introduction of a rule allowing specialists with a higher or secondary medical education and at least two years of experience in healthcare institutions to work as pharmacists in rural pharmacies, subject to mandatory one-year specialized training.
As for current activities and legislative plans for the near future, drafts of new laws "On Education" "On the Fundamentals of Tourism Activity" and "On Local Authorities, Local Self-Government, and State Administration in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" are expected to be developed by the end of the year. Updating the legal framework in these areas is intended to improve legislation, systematize, and consolidate relevant regulations. Work continues on the legislations "On Enforcement Proceedings" and "On the Implementation of the Budget Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic". Furthermore, deputies and parliamentary committee staff are working to improve the Electoral and Land Codes. The topic of interparliamentary cooperation and the efforts of the Supreme Council of the PMR were addressed to strengthen traditional ties, expand contacts, and intensify Eurasian integration.
Regarding work with voters, most citizen inquiries involve requests for improvements to courtyards, clarification on the nature or application of a particular legislative provision, and requests for advice or assistance in applying for a Russian pension. Collective requests are received regarding the preservation of cultural heritage sites and infrastructure facilities of particular significance to citizens. One example is the restoration of the mosaic decoration of a public transport station in the village of Korotnoye of Slobodzeya District.
Organization of and participation in public, cultural, and sporting events remains an important component of parliamentary activity. As part of a nationwide cleanup day, deputies and staff of the Supreme Council staff renovated the children's playground and landscaping in Alexander Nevsky Park (Bendery). They participated in the "St. George's Ribbon" and "Immortal Regiment" events, as well as the "Presidential Family for a Healthy Lifestyle" regatta. Tatyana Zalevskaya and Alexander Korshunov took to the water as part of the presidential crew on the opening day of the event, while the parliamentary team "Supreme Dragon" participated in the race and placed third in its group.
The President outlined the key guidelines for the Supreme Council's future activities, noting that the "Development Strategy of Pridnestrovie for 2019–2026" remains relevant and that a new document is being prepared to guide the republic's continued development.
