The President expressed concern over the delay in repair and construction work at healthcare facilities

The PMR President invited the Chairman of the PMR Government Alexander Rosenberg, his deputy Sergey Obolonik, head of the Ministry of Economic Development, as well as Minister of Healthcare Christina Albul to the meeting. They talked about implementation of the state program of capital investments in the healthcare sector. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that medical institutions are among the priorities in the formation of the capital investment fund. The goal is to bring the entire medical infrastructure of the republic into proper condition in the foreseeable future.

It was noted in the course of the meeting that it is planned to carry out construction work this year at such facilities as the Republican Clinical Hospital (simulation center, food unit and laundry of the hospital), the Center for Mother and Child in Bendery (obstetrics and gynecology unit), the polyclinic of Grigoriopol, several locations of Central Republican Hospital in Rybnitsa, Kamenka and Slobodzeya, the pathology department of the city hospital of Bendery and the rural medical outpatient clinic of Protyagailovka. The amount allocated to the Ministry of Healthcare from the state budget for construction exceeded 39 million rubles. Another 17.4 million rubles are funds for the overhaul of healthcare facilities. The PMR President drew the attention of the interlocutors to the delay in the process at the same time. Work has not yet begun at many facilities of the Ministry of Healthcare, included in the capital investment fund 2023, tender procedures have not been carried out. They figured out reasons of the situation. The President recalled that the Ministry of Economic Development was instructed to oversee the repair and construction work at facilities subordinate to the ministries of the social block, which do not have specialized specialists. Sergey Obolonik informed that a subdivision specially created under the Ministry of Economic Development is involved 24 projects to date. But there are no medical institutions among them, indeed. Vadim Krasnoselsky called this a serious omission. Instructions were given to intensify interaction with the Ministry of Healthcare, speed up the passage of the documentation stage and promptly begin repair and construction work.
