Results of the single voting day were summed up in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the PMR President. The Head of the PMR CEC Elena Gorodetskaya made a report. According to her, the 2020 elections in Pridnestrovie took place. According to preliminary estimates, the overall turnout in the republic was 27.79%. The highest activity was demonstrated by residents of the Kamenka district (41%), the least - by the residents of Bendery (20.68%). The pandemic negatively affected turnout rates. Nevertheless, the announced increased preventive measures and individual protection prompted a sufficient number of citizens to come to the polling stations to recognize the elections as valid. Ensuring safe distancing was supervised by militia officers (approximately 700 people were involved) and volunteers. The PMR President expressed gratitude for the work done to them, as well as members of election commissions, representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of State Security and state administrations of cities and regions. Totally, about 4000 people were involved in organizing and holding the elections, Elena Gorodetskaya said. The Head of the Central Election Commission announced the names of the candidates for the Supreme Council of the VII convocation who received the largest number of votes. They will be officially presented with their parliamentary certificates on December 2.
Words of gratitude are also addressed to the observers, who, according to Vadim Krasnoselsky, arrived in Pridnestrovie in the current difficult circumstances to witness the democratic and open elections of deputies of all levels.
According to preliminary data, 115205 Pridnestrovians took part in the Single Voting Day. 1111 PMR citizens arrived from abroad to cast their votes.
