Operational group of Russian force in Pridnestrovie was formed a quarter of a century ago - on July 1, 1995. Today, the PMR President with his wife arrived to the military camp.
Before the concert part of the ceremony, the opening of the monument to the OGRV soldiers - participants in the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester took place. The soldiers immortalized the memory of the valiant ancestors in a granite monument, on top of which there is a stone eagle. Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked the initiators and all those involved in the creation of the monument, noting the importance of historical continuity and the deep meaning of choosing such a commemorative sign. Its prototype was the Monument of Russian Glory - the oldest monument in Bendery, built by the centenary of the Borodino battle at the expense of soldiers and officers of the 55th Podolsky Infantry Regiment.

They spoke about the military successes of the soldiers of the 14th Guards of the Combined Army, whose traditions today are continued by the Task Force of the Russian troops in Pridnestrovie. The head of the OGRV in Pridnestrovie Dmitry Zelenkov said that one of the main tasks that are successfully implemented in the OGRV is the military-patriotic education of youth and preservation of historical heritage. Military personnel annually take part in the Victory Parade, large-scale historical reconstructions. On the territory of the unit there is a Museum of Glory dedicated to OGRV, the peacekeeping operation in Pridnestrovie and the modern army. It was visited by about 1,500 pupils of educational institutions of the republic in a year. In addition, on the territory of the military town there are samples of weapons and military equipment, the "Partisan Village" and a shooting range.
Addressing the OGRV servicemen and Pridnestrovians present at the festival, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the military history of Russia on the banks of the Dniester is rich in unfading glory and the power of Russian weapons.
In connection with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the OGRV in Pridnestrovie, a number of servicemen received state awards from the hands of the PMR President. Festive salute was the bright end of the event.
