According to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 152 carriers of COVID-19 are treated in two quarantine hospitals of the republic. Five more infected Pridnestrovians are in medical hospitals in Chisinau. In addition, 63 patients with suspected coronavirus infection are awaiting test results in medical institutions of the republic. 2317 people were isolated in home quarantine.
It was noted during the meeting, that 25 patients recovered during four reporting days. Totally, 1459 out of 1685 detected infected (more than 86%) coped with the disease during the pandemic. COVID mortality in Pridnestrovie is 3,4%.
Since the last meeting of the Operational Headquarters, 894 biomaterials have been laboratory tested in Pridnestrovie. The fact of the disease COVID-19 was confirmed in 50 cases. There are 11 medical workers of the Bendery polyclinic among them. The President, speaking about this fact, instructed the Health Ministry to strengthen control over implementation of quarantine requirements by health workers, in particular the use of individual protection equipment.
9500 appeals were received by the territorial crisis centers in the period from 13 to 16 August. Most of them (approximately 5000) are related to permission to leave the republic. Based on the results of consideration, about four thousand applications were approved. 1092 citizens, who were ordered to be in self-isolation, entered the territory of Pridnestrovie during the same period.
