Members of the Operational Headquarters under the PMR President exchanged relevant information. It was noted that 1699 foreigners entered Pridnestrovie during the past week, 249 of whom said they were in transit, 1450 indicated that they planned to stay. In total, 24478 foreign citizens have entered the territory of the PMR since the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine, 18708 have passed the registration procedure for temporary residence. 113 people (77 adults, 36 children) settled in the Pridnestrovian temporary residence centers last week. According to the latest data, there are about five hundred citizens who came from abroad in seven institutions. Functioning centers are loaded at 69%. The capacity is 717 beds. Another 16 reserve facilities are in full readiness for deployment that will accommodate 1845 people if necessary. Schools in Pridnestrovie are attended by 586 children who came from Ukraine. 260 Ukrainian preschool children go to kindergartens of the republic. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the number of foreign students could increase significantly after the vacation period. The President emphasized that children who find themselves in a difficult life situation should be involved as much as possible in the educational process. They are provided with school supplies, food, medical care. Institutions of additional education are available for arrivals. 57 children from abroad attend various sections. The practice of COVID-testing of citizens settled in temporary residence centers continues. Identified carriers of the virus are sent to specialized hospitals and provided with full-fledged treatment at the expense of the Pridnestrovian budget. 11 foreign citizens at the moment are receiving assistance in hospitals in Pridnestrovie, five of which are minors.
It was noted that the hotline continues to work. About 4000 calls were received in a week. They consult on issues of entry into the republic and the possibility of accommodation in specialized centers.
28 attempts to get into Pridnestrovie outside the checkpoints were recorded and stopped during the week. A total of 208 such facts have been identified since the end of February.
The meeting raised the issue of refugee status. Its assignment involves a certain, clearly regulated procedure. Only the Office of Migration Affairs can issue the relevant document. The PMR Ministry of Internal Affairs forms a database. The issuance of certificates by other authorities is illegal, the document will not have legal force, which means that there will be no legal consequences, which include equating persons officially recognized as refugees in rights and obligations with citizens of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The Operational Headquarters members spoke about the employment of those who arrived from abroad. The mechanism for formalizing labor relations with them is being worked out. Considering that, when leaving their homeland, not everyone took with them a complete package of documents, including a work book, there is a proposal to use the data that are reflected in the Diya mobile application, which is used by Ukrainian employers.
Another topic that was discussed at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters is pricing control. The PMR Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaly Neagu said that the control measures carried out on behalf of the President covered 92 retail facilities. 20 facts of unreasonable overestimation of the cost of goods were revealed. Administrative measures have been taken. The Ministry of Economic Development collects information on the available balances on a weekly basis to constantly monitor the availability of food, medicines, fuels and lubricants. Generalized information on this subject will be sent to the Operational Headquarters. The PMR Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik informed that the republic at the moment has a stock of wheat for a year and a half, barley for a year, corn for 2.5 years, sunflower for almost five years. This data does not take into account the harvest of the current year and future periods.
