The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with the deputy corps of Bendery. This event is planned. The goal is to share up-to-date information. The conversation took place in the meeting room of the City Council. In addition to the Head and deputies of the city council, the Chairman of the Supreme Council, the Head of the Bendery state administration and parliamentarians representing the interests of Bendery in the legislature of the republic took part in it.
The interlocutors exchanged information and opinions on various aspects of geopolitics, issues of economic and energy security of the republic, discussed the state of the negotiation process with Moldova. The President was asked about the details of the prevented terrorist attacks and the measures taken to ensure the physical safety of citizens and guests of Pridnestrovie.
A significant part of the questions was devoted to the development of the city. They talked about improving the urban environment, updating social infrastructure, tourism projects, increasing the number of sports and leisure facilities and expanding the area of cultural and recreational zones. They discussed specific plans – implemented and those that are being studied as promising projects. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the leadership of the republic is interested in the development and capitalization of settlements, in particular Bendery. According to him, the city with rich history should be of interest not only and not so much to foreign tourists who come here one time to get acquainted with it; the main thing is to create comfortable conditions for the life of the local population, the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic considers. This should be the principle of improvement of cities and villages of the republic, the Head of the country noted, that not for show, but for life, outlining the changes and transformation of Bendery that are noticeable to everyone.
The topic of licensing enterprises involved in the production and laying of paving slabs was touched upon in the course of the discussion. The issues related to the support of investors - internal and external, as well as the development of small and medium-sized businesses discussed. The problems associated with the complexity of the procedure for allocating land plots for the construction of production facilities were identified. The mechanisms for conducting control and verification activities in relation to legal entities were discussed.
Among the specific city problems voiced by the people of Bendery are the condition of the storm sewer in the area of the meat processing plant and the need to clean up the Dniester bed near the river station. They talked about the prospects for organizing children's health-improving recreation on the basis of the Youth camp located in Mereneshty, the fate of the former Lira camp and options for using its territory and infrastructure, as well as the need to create a home for elderly people.
