Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with participation of the leadership of presidential executive office, the PMR Supreme Council and the Government, the Head of the Ministry of Health and his deputies. The main question is the results of checking the provision of medical organizations with food products, as well as laboratories of medical institutions of the republic with reagents and consumables. It was initiated by the President. On his behalf, control measures were carried out in nine organizations, including the Republican Clinical Hospital, the hospital for the disabled WWII, Rybnitsa Central District Hospital, mother and child center in Bendery and other institutions. The audit showed that in many cases there are no reagents at all or in insufficient quantities to conduct a significant number of vital analyzes. The lack of reagents and consumables leads to prolonged downtime of medical equipment, which can cause equipment failure.
The most serious problem is with provision of dairy products for health care institutions. The results of the audit showed that medical institutions are not fully provided. Another problematic aspect that Vadim Krasnoselsky pointed to is the tender that has not been completed to this day.
One of the reasons for the current situation in the healthcare system is the inspection authorities consider a change in the procurement of goods: at the initiative of the Ministry of Health, the last six months it has been carried out centrally based on the results of a departmental tender. It is carried out in three stages without limiting the time of the procedure. The tender for the purchase of reagents and materials for diagnostic studies for 2020 has not yet been announced, the President stated. He considers this state of affairs unacceptable. Vadim Krasnoselsky allowed exactly a month to eliminating problems with the supply of reagents and products - the development of a working efficient mechanism that would prevent downtime of expensive and vital equipment and restrictions on the quality of food for citizens.
According to the President, it is too early in the current circumstances to discuss the implementation of the new Health Concept. The document is important and extremely necessary, but you need to start by putting things in order in the indicated areas, emphasized Vadim Krasnoselsky. At this stage, he instructed the leadership of the relevant ministry to conduct informational work in parallel with the elimination of existing local problems: the draft Health Development Concept should be presented on the ground, developers must carry out its presentation in cities and regions, the President said. He recommended that the PMR Deputy Ministers of Health take over the supervision of individual cities and regions and maintain close systemic contact with them.
