According to information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 182 carriers of COVID-19 are being treated in two infectious diseases hospitals of the republic. 70 suspected of being infected people are waiting in the conditions of stationary isolation for the results of laboratory tests of biomaterial. 23 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Pridnestrovie (laboratory study of 637 bioassays was carried out) during three days since the previous meeting. 54 patients recovered during the same period. Totally during the pandemic 1216 people out of 1448 detected infected (84%) coped with the disease.
It was said at the meeting that the results of laboratory tests of samples are valid for 72 hours. At the moment, the Tiraspol laboratory is actively involved. As before, the biomaterial is sent to the Chisinau center. The question of opening a COVID laboratory in Rybnitsa remains relevant. The President was informed that the premises for its accommodation have been determined. The necessary construction work will cost the state 800 thousand rubles, the installation of the ventilation system - 90 thousand, the purchase of special equipment - 3 million rubles. Vadim Krasnoselsky called these expenses necessary and justified.
It was noted during the working discussion that more and more requests are received from citizens who want to be tested for coronavirus by the express method without obvious indications - for their own peace of mind and self-control. Applicants are willing to pay for this service. Members of the Operational Headquarters agreed that such an opportunity should be provided to citizens. Thus, in the future, Pridnestrovians will be able to make a paid test not only in laboratory conditions, but also to pass the express testing procedure at their own expense. Responsible structures have been instructed to work out an appropriate mechanism.
As for the so-called free testing, which is massively carried out in the republic, it is costless for patients, but at the same time it is quite expensive for the state. 50000 tests were used during three months, the total cost of which is $ 250000. Another 27000 units arrived. The President emphasized that representatives of local businesses are assisting in their acquisition, but these funds could be used to develop for example infrastructure. He called for prudent use of the available resources. Applications for express tests coming from departments, institutions and enterprises are overwhelming. According to members of the Operational Headquarters, economic entities in whose teams carriers of COVID-19 are detected should take on the purchase of tests for mass testing of personnel. It was noted at the meeting that it is wrong when some - socially responsible - entrepreneurs pay for preventive measures for those who allowed cases of infection among employees; neither the state, which is already incurring colossal losses in countering the pandemic, should take upon itself these costs.
Supply of tests is needed by the end of summer: personnel of educational institutions will be checked for COVID-19 on a budgetary basis (in case a decision is made to launch the educational process in a standard mode), Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled. The President noted that the republic should be provided with anti-coronavirus medicines and disinfectants. The current stocks, while maintaining the current trend of the spread of coronavirus will be enough until the end of this year, said the PMR Health Minister Christina Albul. The President considers that it is necessary to form orders and conclude contracts for the purchase of medicines and means for the first quarter of next year.
The issue of further easing quarantine restrictions was discussed at the meeting. State administrations are asked to give the go-ahead for weekend fairs. Sanitary-epidemiological agency was instructed to develop regulations. Execution control is up to Heads of administrations. They are responsible for the safety of activities of preschool educational institutions that have resumed the admission of pupils.
Activity of objects in the sphere of trade and services was discussed. Inspection bodies record a significant number of violations and prescribe a temporary suspension of the work of such facilities. This practice will continue, since it not only ensures the safety of customers, but also has a disciplinary function, it was noted in the course of the meeting. The Head of the Operational Headquarters Ruslan Mova informed his colleagues about the inspections carried out at 93 enterprises of the republic. There were about fifty violations.
Another public request for quarantine mitigation is the admission of children from three years to swimming pools. Water procedures, outdoor activities and water sports in summer are of significant value for the general health improvement of children, says the chief sanitary doctor of the republic Natalya Beril. In her opinion, it is permissible for young Pridnestrovians to visit the pools if the established requirements are observed.
The forthcoming opening of the Dnestr sanatorium was also mentioned today, recalling that the reception of clients is possible only if there is a certificate of laboratory-confirmed absence of COVID-19.
The next meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the PMR President on prevention of the spread of coronavirus is scheduled for Monday.
