By order of the President, light industry enterprises fulfill a task of national importance - they provide population of the republic with protection against infection with viral diseases. Taking into consideration that the pandemic has made the import of masks and protective clothing practically inaccessible, the issue is being resolved within the state. By the state order, sewing enterprises that changed production plans during the state of emergency make fabric masks and protective overall. The main producer is Tirotex. Today, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Head of the Operational Headquarters Ruslan Mova visited the factory, talked with the management and staff.
The enterprise of the full production cycle itself produces specialized fabric from imported high-quality cotton, bleaches it and uses it for sewing masks. More than 20 000 units of socially significant products are produced per day. About 150 thousand dressings are ready to protect face and respiratory tract. The requirement (75000) declared by the Operational Headquarters to prevent the spread of coronavirus is fully covered. According to Ruslan Mova, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, as well as state institutions and housing and communal services are provided with local production protection. Now tailoring for the needs of the population continues: reusable masks are available for sale. An important point: the declared unit cost of production - 4 rubles - this is the cost of fabric production. The company took over the costs associated with sewing. According to the Head of the factory, Andrei Mezhinsky, this is Tirotex’s contribution to the national fight against the spread of the virus. At the same time, the Tiraspol factory, like other enterprises, has many difficulties associated with restrictions imposed around the world. Logistics is radically changed. The timing of the supply of raw materials and means used in the production process increased fivefold. The company is committed to the timely fulfillment of all obligations - both to the state and to business partners, emphasized Andrei Mezhinsky. According to him, interest abroad in the new type of product is very high: calls are constantly coming from customers interested in acquiring significant volumes of Pridnestrovian masks. In addition, the demand for silver-impregnated medical fabric, the production of which has long been established at the Tirotex factory has noticeably increased. These proposals will be considered after the fulfillment of the primary task - providing means of protection to the domestic market, the Head of the enterprise emphasized. It is not only about masks, but also protective clothes. They are launched into the sewing industry.
