The visit to Grigoriopol district was scheduled for the first half of the President’s working day. Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the Head of the local administration Oleg Gabuzha. The current issues of the district's life were discussed. They talked about implementation of infrastructure projects, including those under the state capital investment program. A plan for further work on the repair and construction of socially significant facilities was outlined. They also spoke about the situation in agriculture, which is the leading branch of the region's economy. They talked about providing the domestic market with agricultural products, as well as state orders for social institutions. Vadim Krasnoselsky was told during the working discussion, that the local agricultural organization "AgroCompact" supplies apples to educational institutions of the Grigoriopol district free of charge. The President has repeatedly visited this enterprise, communicated with the management and staff. He visited the company today.
AgroCompact LLC cultivates more than five and a half thousand hectares of land. Cereals, rapeseed, sunflower, corn – are in the crop rotation. The most important sphere is gardening. An intensive orchard was established in 2016. Italian technology was preferred. They grow apple trees, plums, apricots, cherries, flat peaches, table grapes. Every year the area of garden plantings and the range of cultivated products are growing. Now the gardens of "AgroCompact" occupy about 160 hectares. 350 thousand seedlings have been planted. There are plans to harvest over seven thousand tons of fruit per year. The main focus is on apples. Now there are nine varieties in the assortment. It is expected that its total yield in the future will be at least 4000 tons annually. Last year they managed to collect 2200 tons. The weather has failed in the current year. A hurricane wind threw a third of the future harvest to the ground, the rains prevented full pollination. As a result, only 800 tons of apples were harvested. The situation is similar with other fruits. But the quality of the products remained at a high level, the Head of the enterprise Stepan Platsynda told Vadim Krasnoselsky. They also talked about implementation. "AgroCompact" fruits can be found in abundance in the retail network and in the markets of Pridnestrovie. The main array of agricultural products of Grigoriopol gardeners is exported to Russia.
The technical equipment of the enterprise was also discussed. They strive to use new technologies to facilitate the work of farmers, increase productivity and product quality. Particular attention was paid to watering. All garden lands are under drip irrigation. Once the lands that are now cultivated by "AgroCompact" were included in the land reclamation system, but the equipment fell into disrepair – both the sprinkler machines and the irrigation networks underground. This year they started to replace the equipment, six "frigates". Thanks to controlled irrigation, it was possible to collect a good grain harvest – approximately 20 thousand tons. It is planned to cover 1000 hectares of arable land with land reclamation by the next agricultural season, a little later – another 600 hectares.
The introduction of modern agricultural machinery, an increase in the area of cultivated land, the development of new types of activity required a greater number of workers and specialized masters. The "AgroCompact" staff has quadrupled and now totals about two hundred people. There are plans for further expansion. This is part of the enterprise development program, said representatives of the working collective in an interview with the President. They noted that systematic development became possible due to the fact that relations between business and the state have acquired the form of partnership: each side is interested in the result and takes appropriate measures, clearly fulfilling its obligations. The issue of training young personnel and their employment was discussed. They focused on the topic of budget education, noting that the state order should be formed based on real needs. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that a timely, well-thought-out request from business entities is very important here. The training of specialists for the real sector of the economy should be approached systematically, while the study of the needs of the labor market should be targeted, the President noted.
