Several times a year, including on June 19, representatives of the leadership of the republic, the city and the Ministry of Internal Affairs bring flowers to the granite stone in the chapel, installed along Echin Street as a tribute to the memory of the employees of the internal affairs bodies who died on April 1, 1992. This is one of the tragic dates that appeared in the Pridnestrovian calendar with the arrival of the armed formations of Moldova in the peace-loving republic. Flowers from the President are a sign of gratitude to the militiamen, guardsmen and militias, who, at the cost of their own lives, ensured peace in the Pridnestrovian land and the safety of the citizens of Pridnestrovie.
Vadim Krasnoselsky visits on the Day of the Bendery Tragedy the courtyard of a residential building in the center of Bendery – at the intersection of Lenin and Suvorov streets, where a stone cross is erected in memory of the Cossacks who gave their lives defending the Pridnestrovian people from the Moldovan nationalist aggressors. History knows 92 names. Flowers in gratitude for the invaluable sacrifice are intended for everyone. Four names are indicated on the plaques of the commemorative sign – of the Cossacks who died at this place on the night of June 19-20, 1992.
Commemorative events continued. It is planned to open after reconstruction the Memorial Museum of the Bendery Tragedy and to hold a traditional Regatta of memory in honor of the sportsmen-defenders of Pridnestrovie who died in 1992. A nationwide minute of silence will be announced at 16:45. A thematic concert will be held in the evening on the stage of the Alexander Nevsky Fortress Park for residents and guests of the city of Bendery, the town that has defended and preserved the peace.
