The extended meeting of the PMR President is held in the format of video conference. The participants invited by the President – more than fifty officials heading the Presidential Administration, the PMR Government, the Supreme Council and their structural divisions - ministries, departments, parliamentary committees and commissions, as well as heads of state administrations of cities and districts of the republic, heads of courts, institutions, public organizations , mass media. The main issue on the agenda is the Message of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, traditional for the beginning of the year, to the state authorities and administration. Vadim Krasnoselsky sets tasks and outlines the main guidelines for the current year and future prospects. The President emphasized that the basic principles are the principles prescribed in the PMR Development Strategy - political stability, economic self-sufficiency and social justice. At the heart of all forms and types of activities of state authorities and administration should be the desire to strengthen the independence of the PMR and gain international recognition, continue the formation of the community of Pridnestrovian people and the construction of socially oriented state with a market economy, Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled. He drew attention to the fact that 2020 was a year of difficult trials for Pridnestrovie and the whole world. One of the most serious is the coronavirus pandemic, the fight against which forced the reorientation of activities in many directions, demanded serious financial costs, became a kind of litmus test for testing society for its ability to withstand threats. The President emphasized that he was satisfied with the work of all officials to combat the pandemic, and also expressed gratitude to doctors, employees of the internal affairs bodies, volunteers and all citizens who united to achieve a common goal - to ensure the safety of the republic's residents. The President spoke about the foreign policy aspects of 2020, as well as the drought, which, like the pandemic, had a negative impact on the country's economy.
The President before moving on to setting specific departmental tasks highlighted the most significant, in his opinion, for the state as a whole: strengthening the vertical of management in all government bodies, strengthening executive discipline, active and effective interaction of officials with citizens (the prosecutor's office was instructed to conduct appropriate checks). In addition, Vadim Krasnoselsky considers the work within the framework of the Year of Youth in Pridnestrovie, the September elections of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the elections of the PMR President scheduled for December to be significant areas of activity in the current year.
Vadim Krasnoselsky voiced the tasks addressed to individual government agencies, depending on the field and sphere of activity they represent.
The second part of the extended meeting will be devoted to summing up the results of the Year of Health in Pridnestrovie (announced by the Minister of Health Christina Albul) and planning events within the framework of the Year of Youth (information will be presented by the Minister of Education of the PMR Alla Nikolyuk).
