Сlaus Neukirch has been heading the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova since 2018. His working visits to Tiraspol are systematic. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky is in constant official contact with the German diplomat. The purpose of today's meeting is to discuss the current state of affairs in the negotiation process. Increased attention is paid to the issues of movement, which in the light of recent events are becoming more and more urgent. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that these aspects are of a purely humanitarian nature, which means that the search for a way out of this situation is within the competence of the OSCE. Сlaus Neukirch supported this position, stressing that the essence of the activities of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which he represents, is consigned to resolving issues affecting the interests and rights of citizens. The PMR President called on the European participants in the negotiation process to be consistent in their actions, stressing that the OSCE traditionally stands up for ensuring freedom of movement. These principles should apply to everyone without exception, and not be one-sided or narrowly focused, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
The interlocutors exchanged views and specific proposals. The parties will continue the dialogue in a working order. The participants in the meeting are in solidarity in the opinion that the negotiations within the framework of the "Permanent Conference..." should be intensified and filled with practical content. Rights, interests and needs of people should remain at the forefront in this case.
