It was decided in the course of the meeting under the President to hold a military parade on the main square of Tiraspol on May 9 this year, timed to coincide with the 76th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, taking into account the positive trends, decrease in the incidence rate among Pridnestrovians. Responsible structures were instructed to intensify preparatory measures. The seating of guests in the stands will be distant – every second chair. The stands themselves will be transferred to the square from the sports sector of the Catherine Park. Official flower-laying ceremonies at the Eternal Flame, monuments and graves of the defenders will be organized in all localities. Officials and veterans will take part in it. For a smaller crowd of people, citizens will be advised to visit memorial sites not in large numbers, but in private. Regarding the traditional procession of the Immortal Regiment: while the pandemic has not receded, its safer form from a sanitary and epidemiological point of view seems expedient - the demonstration at the agreed time of portraits of defenders of the Fatherland in the windows of residential buildings, at the entrances of high-rise buildings or at the gates of private households. Mobile stages and mobile creative groups will run through the settlements as in the previous year. Festive concerts are recommended to be held in open areas. Locations such as courtyards of houses where veterans live, as well as areas adjacent to COVID hospitals, are highlighted separately.
The Victory salute will take place in the capital. The state will not spend budget funds on it. The festive fireworks are a gift to Pridnestrovians from the Interdnestrcom company, Vadim Krasnoselsky said at the meeting.
The participants of the meeting discussed the upcoming volunteer Saturday clean-ups. They will pass through the republic tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. There was a proposal for these two days to cancel the pandemic restrictions on the electric transport schedule. The President supported the initiative. Trolleybuses will run from 6:00 to 20:00 on the 23rd and the 24th of April.
