The PMR President held a regular working meeting on the republican budget of 2022. The discussion was attended by the leaders of the Supreme Council and the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, ministries of the financial and economic bloc, as well as relevant parliamentary committees.
Vadim Krasnoselsky, opening the meeting, emphasized that there are shortfalls in the Pridnestrovian budget due to the emerging difficult geopolitical circumstances – the inaccessibility of a number of traditional markets, disruption of logistics and a decrease in entrepreneurial activity in the foreign economic sphere. Funds from development programs will be the main sources of covering shortfalls in income. According to the President, the reduction in funding for a number of budget items should not completely stop development at the same time. Vadim Krasnoselsky set a goal that it will be slowed down, but not stopped.
The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic emphasized that the top priority is the completeness and timeliness of the fulfillment of the social obligations of the state – the payment of wages, pensions and benefits in any conditions.
The participants of the meeting worked out in detail each item of the proposed adjustment of the republican budget.
