Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with Claus Neukirch

Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch at the presidential executive office. The discussion was attended by the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and political adviser of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Grigory Alkhazov.

The PMR President noted, welcoming the guests, that the meetings are regular. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that systematic communication makes it possible to build effective working interaction. The main issue is to ensure security and peace now, the interlocutors said. All participants of the meeting are in solidarity in the opinion that the dialogue should continue in any circumstances even the most difficult. Discussing the viability of the “Permanent Conference…” format, the participants of the meeting noted that they did not leave hope for the resumption of its full-fledged work, while in the current conditions it is important to continue the negotiation process at the level of expert (working) groups and in the "1 + 1" mode when it is problematic to gather all the representatives of the “5 + 2”.

They discussed today the OSCE proposal related to the solution of the banking issue. Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked the representatives of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe for their activity and initiative, noting that the proposal was supported and worked out by the Pridnestrovian side. The decision is up to the Moldovan side.

The theme of peacekeeping was mentioned at the meeting. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that the republic will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the entry of Russian peacekeepers into the territory of Pridnestrovie tomorrow. The PMR President emphasized the importance and effectiveness of the mission, which has ensured peace on the banks of the Dniester for three decades.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, focused on some aspects of the practical implementation of a number of initiatives, and outlined plans for further cooperation.
