The President visited the classrooms of the Medical Faculty of PSU at the end of the solemn assembly that took place at the university site in front of Building A, renovated by the beginning of the academic year. Future and practicing physicians seeking to improve their skills will have to learn not only with the help of familiar resources, but also with the help of modern specialized equipment. At the request of the administration of the State University, the President instructed to purchase the interactive Pirogov Anatomy for the needs of the medical faculty. This anatomical 3D atlas allows you to study human systems and organs in detail from all angles, conduct a comparative analysis of healthy and diseased areas, regardless of their location, in addition to the macroscopic structure, demonstrate the microscopic structure of the structures of individual organs. It is possible at the same time to study directly at the table, as well as using personal computers, laptops and smartphones. A set of programs for the equipment was also purchased. The built-in database contains over 4000 3D models in natural colors and regular shapes. Vadim Krasnoselsky was presented with training equipment in action. The PMR President was told that the use of the Pirogov Anatomy would make it possible to convey information about the syntopy of internal organs in an accessible and effective way, compare it with CT and MRT slices, and clearly demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of surgical approaches. In addition, students, when independently solving clinical and anatomical problems by creating so-called scenes, can quickly imagine, understand, and explain the development of many pathological symptoms and syndromes, they said at the medical faculty. The President asked if the specialists who would teach using this equipment were ready. The leadership of the faculty noted that 11 teachers have completed an internship with the involvement of Moscow specialists at the moment. The PMR President emphasized the importance of using modern technologies in the learning process, especially in such a field as medicine, and assured that the university would continue to be equipped.
