Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with Kelly Keiderling

Meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova Kelly Keiderling was held at the presidential executive office. The European diplomat is a frequent visitor to Pridnestrovie. She is well aware of the situation in the republic and is actively involved in the current crisis resolving. Today, the interlocutors exchanged relevant information and opinions regarding possible options for further developments. They talked about the prerequisites for the crisis and the reasons for its protracted nature, noting that the final result has not yet been achieved despite the efforts made to overcome the energy and humanitarian catastrophe, but there are positive developments.

The PMR President mentioned the fact that the OSCE representatives responded to his proposal to visit the social institutions of the republic with an inspection to personally see that everything is being done in Pridnestrovie so that the most vulnerable categories of citizens under the care of the state do not experience discomfort even in crisis circumstances. Kelly Keiderling in turn said that representatives of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova visited the ambulance service, the Republican Clinical Hospital and two penitentiary institutions, making sure that citizens are in decent conditions and provided with everything they need. 

The Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova emphasized that it is extremely difficult to work in conditions of constantly changing input data. Nevertheless, Kelly Keiderling emphasized that the current Finnish OSCE Chairmanship is closely monitoring the progress of the negotiations, responding to what is happening and hoping for a speedy solution to the problem. The interlocutors agreed that it is important to take not only immediate response measures, but to work for the long term and create a basis for preventing future crises through joint efforts.
