The year 2021 is under the sign of a major renovation for the residents of Bendery. Buildings, roads, parks are being put in order, new squares, walking areas, sports grounds are being built, communication networks are being updated. Landscaping of Bendery is scheduled in stages. Reconstruction of the central part is a large-scale project. Its implementation is in progress.
Today is a holiday in Bendery. The 613th anniversary of the first mention of chronicles is celebrated. A kind of housewarming was timed to coincide with the City Day: the square in front of the House of Culture named after Pavel Tkachenko was transformed. It is now called musical. The opening ceremony of the renovated facility was attended by the President. Vadim Krasnoselsky arrived at the city holiday with his wife.
The PMR President personally supervises the progress of work on the improvement of the city, repeatedly went to various locations with an inspection, and made adjustments to projects in the working order. The fountain that appeared in the city in 1962 was modernized and the area around it was put in order on his initiative. Now there is a full-fledged fountain complex equipped with a modern engineering and technical system. Colored illumination, control of the choreography of water streams and sound musical accompaniment are new trends implemented in Bendery. There is an interesting sidewalk covering made according to individual sketches, small architectural forms, original recreation areas, amphitheaters on both sides of the footpath in addition. They also approached landscaping in a non-standard way. Today the result of the work done is presented in its entirety.
Together with residents of Bendery and guests of the city who arrived at the festive event, the Krasnoselskys witnessed a bright show organized by local creative teams, which preceded the launch of the fountain complex.
At the end of the festive ceremony, the PMR President talked to journalists. He addressed words of congratulations to the residents of the city-birthday and gratitude to everyone who contributes to its improvement and development. He mentioned the recent indignation of the townspeople regarding the widespread repair and construction work, noting that something cannot be built without inconveniencing the process. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that a start has been made – the new square is ready to receive visitors. This year's plans include the completion of the reconstruction of the central part of the city. All adjacent streets will be improved. Park areas will be updated. The Solnechny square should be completely transformed with the obligatory equipment of the sports zone before the New Year holidays. The repair of the overpass will also be completed. Increased attention is paid to landscaping. Bendery should retain the status of a green city, the President emphasized. He also talked about plans for a slightly more distant future – the year of 2022. They will undertake the repair of the embankment at the request of local residents. Funding source – is the Capital Investment Fund. This state program continues to operate and will work exactly as long as there is a need for this. It’s the position of the country's leadership, based on the opinion of the Pridnestrovians.
