The President visited the School No. 2 in Grigoriopol. This is a major educational institution. More than thousand pupils attended it last year. There were 41 classes, including lyceums. The Advanced Mathematics and Humanities Program was introduced in the 1998-1999 academic year. The school was named in the same period after its graduate Andrei Stoev, the defender of Pridnestrovie, who died in the battle for the independence of the republic, headmaster of the educational institution Elena Titova recalled today in the course of the conversation with the President. The current school infrastructure consists of four buildings, the total area of ​​which exceeds 30000 square meters. The first building (Building No. 3 now) was built in 1908. It housed a Russian-Moldovan school, then an eight-year school, later a secondary school No. 4. The building was transferred into school No. 2 after the reorganization of the local education system in 2000. Its area is 780 square meters. There is an office of a social pedagogue, a museum, a library, a reading room in it. The facility was included in the capital investment program in 2018. Windows, doors and roof were replaced, the facade was repaired in more than a century old building. Work continued in 2019. The workshops and the technology room for boys were put in order. The surrounding area was landscaped with funds from the local budget. The school again participated in the Capital Investment Fund program in 2021. Heating mains and internal heating system were updated. The money was allocated for the arrangement of the sports zone of the educational institution in 2022. A combined volleyball and basketball court was built. It was a request from local pupils that was voiced at the opening of a mini-football field, recently built behind one of the school buildings. The President heard the request. Relevant instructions were given and the necessary funds were allocated. Vadim Krasnoselsky visited this facility, at one time made adjustments to the project. He got acquainted with the result today. The PMR President drew attention to the fact that the rubber coating was made by local manufacturers from used tires. A total of 711000 was spent on the creation of the sports ground. There are cost savings. The remaining money will be used to provide the facility with lighting. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about other infrastructure plans and needs. The President was told that building No. 2 was next in line for repairs. He is younger than the third and was under repair, but time takes its toll. The facility will be recommended for inclusion in the Capital Investment Fund Program. The possibility of financing the work from the district treasury is being considered.
