Chairman of the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Rosenberg in the course of the working meeting under the President told how the situation in agriculture is currently developing. Particular attention was paid to crop harvesting. The speaker announced the nationwide indicators.
15% of the sown area of cereals and legumes has been harvested – 17 thousand out of 119 thousand hectares. The weight is 50 thousand tons. Winter wheat of these (mainly of the third and fourth classes) – 33 thousand tons. The average food grain yield in the country today is 27.4 centners per hectare.
Winter barley is harvested by 70%. The yield is 31 centners per hectare. Spring barley has just begun to be harvested. Approximately 7% collected from the fields. The yield is 28 centners per hectare.
A third of rapeseed has already been harvested (4500 ha out of 13500 ha sown). Productivity – is 23.5 centners per hectare.
Green peas are harvested by 85% (692 out of 832 hectares). 2800 tons were harvested with a yield of 40 centners per hectare. Vegetable crops are being harvested.
