The military-sports festival is a traditional event timed to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland, which gathers representatives of the units of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of State Security, the Ministry of Justice, the State Guard Service of the PMR and the Ministry of Defense at the republican stadium. In addition to law enforcement agencies, there were among the participants the pupils of Suvorov Military School, Cadets, and Servicemen of the Company of the Guard of Honor. Military-sports festival is a competition, for others it is an opportunity to demonstrate skills, abilities and achievements.
The competitive part of the event includes throwing grenades at a distance, tug-of-war and paramilitary baton. The third block has its own phasing. Young representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (pupils of the TSSU and RKK) run a hundred-meter run, in gas masks, in bulletproof vests and carry the ammunition box. The task is complicated by air rifle shooting and the rescue of a conditional wounded man for senior teams, for whom his comrades endure at different stages of the relay on themselves and on stretchers.
The teams presented their programs of demonstration performances. The obligatory component of the holiday is the joint performance of the line song. "My Army" song was chosen this year.
Summing up the event, the Commander-in-Chief of the Pridnestrovian Armed Forces Vadim Krasnoselsky noted high level of training, expressed gratitude to all participants of the military-sports festival and presented certificates and memorable gifts to team representatives, and the cup to the winner. This year, it was the Ministry of the Interior of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Among young people this time, the Suvorov Military College students outplayed the cadets.
The President congratulated those present and in their person all the defenders of the Fatherland on the holiday. Special words of gratitude were addressed to those who are on the line of duty today, as well as to the servicemen of the peacekeeping forces, expressing gratitude on behalf of the entire Pridnestrovian people for the preservation of peace.
