The Commander-in-Chief took part in the solemn meeting on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the PMR Armed Forces

Solemn meeting timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian defense department was held in the Alexander Nevsky Park. The Commander-in-Chief of the PMR Armed Forces, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, representatives of state power and management bodies, servicemen and veterans of military service, clergy, and the public took part in the festive event. Oleg Obruchkov made a report on the history of the creation and formation of the Pridnestrovian army, the formation and development of various units, as well as the current state of affairs in the Armed Forces of the PMR. The minister expressed gratitude to the veterans, called for a minute of silence to honor the memory of those who died defending the Pridnestrovian statehood. The Speaker spoke about the achievements of the modern army, focused on the topic of education and sports in the army, as well as on measures aimed at improving combat training.

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky made a welcoming and congratulatory speech at the solemn event.

“Pupils of Suvorov military college, cadets, soldiers, officers, generals! Dear veterans of the Armed Forces of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic! Dear defenders of Pridnestrovie! Congratulating you on the thirtieth anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces, I would like to once again touch upon history, our history. The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was created on September 2, 1990. The creation of Pridnestrovie as a full-fledged state was preceded by a series of historical events. Among them there is collapse of the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union disintegrated into former Soviet republics, which had state authorities, law enforcement agencies, and their own armies. It is a fact.

Just a few more words about the history that preceded the creation of the statehood of Pridnestrovie. I would like to remind once again about the history of Moldova, namely about the declaration of sovereignty and independence, which Moldova adopted in the early 90s of the last century. In these declarations, Moldova recognized the legal consequences of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and the creation of the Moldavian SSR as illegal. Moldova abandoned Pridnestrovie. In fact, they committed a gross legal error in law. Why did they do this? Probably, this is already the result of the work of political scientists and other specialists, but, nevertheless, this is a fact. Later, the elite of Moldova realized the fatality of the mistake and tried to correct it - treacherously, with our blood, with the blood of Pridnestrovians. All the power of the former Soviet army, which was located on the territory of Moldova, was thrown against the peaceful Pridnestrovie. This includes personnel, equipment, and weapons and staffed. But Pridnestrovie did not have all this. Territorial rescue squads, the guard became the basis for the protection of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. There were no other options. By and large, the people were organized through these units and rebuffed the armed aggression of the nationalists of Moldova. The war has passed, a peacekeeping mission has begun on the territory of Pridnestrovie, which includes, in addition to the peacekeepers of Russia, peacekeepers, of course, Pridnestrovie. The army is developing. You see everything that is being done to develop the armed forces.

I will note three important aspects: material and technical support, staffing, financial support of the armed forces. The question is: is it necessary? Maybe there is no need, maybe there will be no more war, the war is already in the past? We used to think so too. When I was in school, I also thought that the Great Patriotic War is only history, it is also in the past. But, unfortunately, history judged differently.

So far, Moldova has not been held accountable for its war crimes. They did not answer for terrorist attacks against the Pridnestrovian people, did not repent for the genocide of the Pridnestrovian people. There are no legal and legal consequences of this war in Moldova, there is absolutely no remorse. This is the answer to the question. If someone does not repent for his crimes, then he is ready to commit it again. Those terrorists who killed people in the back of the head, they are "heroes". They have heroes – those who killed. We have our heroes – those who defended. This is the fundamental difference. Nobody really knows what will happen next. I do not exclude the use of forceful options for resolving the Pridnestrovian issue, tough options. Nobody refused, not a single Moldovan politician has taken the liberty of saying that. There is no such. Not a single Moldovan politician, guided by his conscience, repented for the war that was started in Pridnestrovie. Not a single Moldovan politician told the truth that it was Moldova that destroyed the territorial integrity of the Moldavian SSR, did not say that they were separatists. We did not destroy anything and did not exit anywhere. This is history, this is a fact.

Therefore, again, relying on history, I want to express my gratitude to the veterans of the Armed Forces of the Soviet Union, those who formed the basis of the Armed Forces of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, all the defenders of Pridnestrovie for defending the right to live in their native land, to speak their own language, wear, without distorting, the names that the mother gave at birth.

The armed forces of Pridnestrovie will develop, do not even doubt it. I have already come out with an initiative to the Government and the Supreme Council about serious additional funding for the armed forces next year. This also applies to the material and technical component, of course, the pay of servicemen. This is right. There is no state without an army”, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted during his speech.

The President congratulated the servicemen and veterans of the Pridnestrovian army on the 30th anniversary of the formation of the republic's armed forces. High performance in service activities, the most distinguished were awarded state awards for their contribution to strengthening and increasing combat readiness.

The event was continued by a festive concert prepared by the orchestra and vocalists of the General Staff of the PMR Armed Forces at the end of the solemn part.
