Leonid Manakov was delegated to attend the regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. This is his third appearance there. He arrived in Geneva as part of a delegation of the International Council of Russian Compatriots. The Head of the Pridnestrovian Official Representative Office in Moscow, in the rules and regulations traditional for this format, called on the international community to develop cooperation with the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, noting that Pridnestrovie is ready to establish social, economic, cultural and humanitarian contacts with the whole world, and barriers for interstate interaction in today's realities should not be.
At the end of the speech, Leonid Manakov announced the readiness of Pridnestrovie to mutually beneficial partnership and openness of the republic.
Today Leonid Manakov summed up his participation in the Geneva session of the Human Rights Council and shared his impressions with the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The conversation took place at the Official Representative Office of Pridnestrovie in Moscow. The diplomat said that his speech and the raised topic aroused interest among the participants in the meeting and had resonance in the media. A small brochure with materials and a selection of opinions of international experts on Pridnestrovie was distributed among Leonid Manakov’s foreign colleagues. According to him, there are a lot of people who want to know more about the republic.
Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke today about the importance of informing the outside world about modern Pridnestrovie, the history of its creation and establishment, the legal foundations of international recognition of the PMR independence. He praised the contribution of Leonid Manakov, aiming the Head of the Official Representation of Pridnestrovie in Moscow to actively continue activities in this direction.
