The Pipe Plant of Bendery was visited by the PMR President

The President paid a working visit to Bendery, where he met with local leadership and discussed a number of current issues with the city head. Several facilities were visited by him as well.

"Vek" LLC ranks among the city's top ten taxpayers. Established in the 1990s the company initially focused on the storage and sale of metal products but shifted to manufacturing a decade later. The chosen direction was ferrous metallurgy and the pipe industry. Equipment was purchased, and the workshops were set up on the premises of the former Experimental Repair Plant of Bendery once a massive repair plant that had employed 3500 people. The new owners inherited not only spacious facilities but also installed overhead lifting structures that remain in use today. They launched a steel pipe production line in several of the workshops, which had been idle at the time. The Head of the Company Vitaly Zinovenko told the President that production has been continuously expanding and modernizing ever since. The plant manufactures a wide range of small- and medium-diameter pipes used in gas distribution, heating networks, and water and sewage systems, as well as hollow steel profiles, wire, and nails; total output reaches 90–100 tons per day and up to 2000 tons per month. A modern waste-recycling technology currently only in the pilot stage in Russia whereby approximately 30 tons of cutting scrap converted monthly into raw material for binding wire is Among the innovations, explained Production Manager Alexander Shkarupa. A hardware manufacturing workshop is currently under construction.

The Pipe Plant of Bendery occupies 2.5 hectares of land and 12000 square meters of production and warehouse space. The facility is powered by its own electrical substation and cable lines, and the premises are heated by solid-fuel boilers. Vadim Krasnoselsky inquired about raw material procurement; while supplies were previously sourced from Russia and Ukraine, it comes from Turkey, with occasional shipments from China. The guests toured the processing and production workshops as well as the storage areas; the raw material warehouse, for instance, has a capacity of 4000 tons.

The enterprise operates facilities not only in Bendery but also in Tiraspol, Rybnitsa, and Dubossary. The workforce numbers over a hundred people, half of whom are employed at the main production complex in Bendery. Staff training is conducted in-house at the plant, with instruction provided from scratch, and graduates are guaranteed employment within Pridnestrovie. Production figures from recent years show that the 2023–2025 period was one of growth, with the volume of manufactured goods rising from 19000 to 30000 tons. The most significant increase occurred in wire production, which jumped from 102 tons in 2023 to 1558 tons in 2025. However, results from the first half of 2026 show a marked decline compared to the previous year, with total production volume dropping by 25.4%. The sharpest decrease was in strip production, which fell by 57.7%. Conversely, nail production has ramped up; while output for this product category had dropped by 60% in 2025 compared to 2024, it has now increased by 122% relative to 2025 levels.

The parties discussed future production plans.
